The South African Hockey Association (SAHA) has opened its tender process for the supply of technical apparel to its national teams, with the opportunity for a successful applicant to become an Official Apparel Partner of SA Hockey.
The invitation offers qualified suppliers and sportswear brands an opportunity to support South African hockey through quality apparel that meets the demands of international competition, strengthens national team identity and reflects the pride of representing the country.
Issued on 30 October 2026, tender #SAHA/001/2026 welcomes proposals on a supply only basis, a sponsorship basis through cash and/or apparel contributions, or a combination of these approaches. Applicants must submit separate offers for two proposed contract periods: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028 and 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030.
The scope includes the senior men’s and women’s outdoor national teams, the men’s and women’s U21 national teams, the Para-Hockey national team and High Performance squads, including coaches and support staff. Requirements cover match kit, training and warm-up apparel, team informal wear and accessories, with adaptive clothing options for para-athletes where required.
Applicants may also propose optional replica and supporter apparel ranges, creating opportunities for supporters to connect with SA Hockey beyond the field of play.
Depending on the proposal and final agreement, partnership opportunities may include official partner designation, approved use of SA Hockey branding, merchandising and selected promotional activities. All rights remain subject to existing agreements, applicable regulations and the terms of the signed contract.
Proposals will be assessed on sample quality and materials, price and overall value, manufacturing capability and experience, delivery reliability and B-BBEE compliance. SA Hockey is seeking a supplier capable of delivering consistent quality, dependable service and apparel suited to the needs of its athletes.

- 9 November 2026 at 16:00: Submission of the compulsory Notice of Intention to Participate, using Annexure A, to applications@sahockey.co.za. This is a prerequisite for participation.
- 10 November 2026 at 12:00: Closing date for clarification questions, which must be emailed to ceo@sahockey.co.za.
- 16 November 2026 at 16:00: Closing date for proposals and garment samples.
Complete submissions must include two hard copies, one electronic copy on a memory stick, an emailed proposal and the required garment samples, in accordance with the tender instructions. Physical submissions must be delivered to South African Hockey Association, The Wanderers Club, 21 North Street, Illovo, 2196, with proposal copies also emailed to applications@sahockey.co.za.
